About Us
Meet Nila!
High up the rugged and rough "road", in the mountains of Honduras, is this amazing lady, Petronila (Nila). She is one of a kind. She cooks for many children. Together with Eli, both native to the village, they help to bring sustenance to many who have nothing, though they often struggle themselves.
Rice is the only food many families have to eat, besides tortillas.
I asked Nila, what is your greatest need? She answered; "A chicken, for the EGGS." This project came to life because of that question. Only about one egg per day and sometimes none was the fate of these people, before Adoptachickenbuildacoop launched. With your seed money, WE can hatch eggs to make more chickens to make more EGGS, to make more chickens and make more EGGS!

Why I do what I do.
We are so blessed in the USA to eat CHICKEN from any number of restaurants or drive throughs. In the village of Proteccion, Honduras, there are no drive throughs and there are no COOPS (like we know coops). But all of that is changing since 2017. "Adopt a chicken Build a coop" is simply a project to allow people to EAT! Our team along with many contributors have allowed this ministry to help these people. We are building a bigger coop which will house over 200 hens! This not only provides food for the village, it also has created jobs because of selling some of the eggs in the small town below the mountain. I never imagined such phenomenal progress when this project dropped in my heart. I thank God for the compassion he gave to me when I first visited the country my parents have supported for over 40 years. I am still in awe and my gratitude is over whelming!
